- Warm up by the fireplace in Alumni Lounge in SUB.
- Start your art collection at the twice-yearly BFA or BDes student art auction in FAB.
- Take the campus tour of trees. Contact the Office of Alumni Affairs at 492-3324 for more information.
- If you’ve procrastinated a little too long, study all night in SUB – open 24 hours during exams.
- Volunteer for SafeWalk. The shifts are flexible, it’s extremely rewarding, and it’s a great way to meet people!
- Catch some sunshine on the lawn in front of Corbett Hall.
- Walk through the Music Department during the day and listen to all the different sounds being created.
- See a live show at Dinwoodie Lounge.
- Take a look at a slice of a 900-year-old tree on display on the second floor of the Agriculture/Forestry Centre. This tree, from Sooke, BC, was 66 metres high and 3 across.
- Try to classify the fossils in the BioSci building.
- Attend Bar None! A cabaret held at the Agricom every November, Bar none is the largest event sponsored by a student group at the U of A.
- Listen for the saw-whet owls at night.
- Try your hand at rock-climbing on the climbing wall in the Butterdome.
- Play a game of Ultimate Frisbee in Quad.
- People-watch in “Trail,” the hallway connecting HUB to the Rutherford library.
- Watch a music jury in the Fine Arts Building (FAB).
- Visit the U of A’s Enterprise Square, named in recognition of the building’s history as a centre of commerce, in downtown Edmonton – just an LRT ride away. The building’s residents include the Office of Alumni Affairs, the Faculty of Extension, and the Alberta School of Business – Executive Education Institute.

- Road Trip! Drive out to Augustana Campus in Camrose, Alberta.
- Visit Founders Hall at the Augustana campus – built in 1911, this building has been home to students, classrooms, campus administration and other offices over the years.
- Visit the historic boundaries of the Augustana campus and take a walk through the Burr Oak trees that stand in honour of the graduating classes of the past.
- Visit the house that diplomat Chester Ronning built in 1928. The house is now home to the Development, Alumni and Special Events offices on Augustana campus.
- Admire the life-size replica of Martin Luther who watches over the Augustana Campus from the quad.
