The Alberta Research Centre for Health Evidence (ARCHE) is located within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. The mandate of ARCHE is to:

  • Produce high-quality evidence syntheses aimed at priority issues in health;
  • Advance the methods of conducting RCTs and evidence syntheses;
  • Provide training and mentoring to health professionals, trainees and students;
  • Conduct knowledge translation activities to help inform clinical and policy decisions.

ARCHE is committed to providing education and training at various levels.

Locally, ARCHE provides training and mentorship for undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, clinical fellows, and junior faculty who wish to learn about and apply the methods of evidence synthesis and evidence-based practice.
