Elizabeth Joan Beauchamp graduated from the University in 
1983 with a Master of Arts in art and design.  In 
preparation for her thesis, between 1980 and 1981 she 
recorded her interviews with Norman Yates, professor of art 
(1954-1989) and landscape painter known for his unique 
representation of space.  

Ms. Beauchamp’s thesis is entitled Norman Yates: Toward 
Landscape; a Study of the Development of His Landscape 
Paintings.
