Cameron, Alan Emerson
Mining engineer
1890-1977
Dr. Cameron joined the Department of Mining Engineering in 1914,
departing in 1937 to become Deputy Minister of Mines for Nova
Scotia. In 1947 he became President of the Nova Scotia Technical
College, from which he retired in 1957. His scholarly and
professional pursuits involved him in the areas of mining
engineering and metallurgy throughout Canada, especially in the
Northwest Territories.
