Loomis, Reginald D.
Forester
[1904]-

Reg Loomis joined the Alberta Forest Surveys Division, ca. 1950,
after being employed with the federal government as a foresry
researcher and with International Paper Company in New Brunswick. 
He was Senior Superintendent, 1953-1966, and Administrator of
Forest Management in the Alberta Department of Lands and Forests
from 1966 to 1969. He retired in 1973. The province's first
professional forester, he helped introduce sustained yield logging
to Alberta.
