Lowe, Cedric James

After lecturing at the London School of Economics, Cedric J. Lowe
joined the University in 1968 as a professor of history; he was
appointed department Chair in 1973. An internationally known
specialist in diplomatic history, he published four books on British 
and Italian foreign policy before his sudden death in an
automobile accident.
