Shtokalko, Zinovii

A medical doctor by profession, Shtokalko studied music with
serveral prominent bandurysts. He imporoved bandura playing
techniques and developed his own distinct style of interepretation.
Shtokalko published a large methodological study of the
instrument and a definitive recording of Ukrainian songs (recorded
for M.Surmach in New York, 1952). His lterary works appear undern
the pen name Zinovii Berezhan.
