The Institute is located at 4-30 Pembina Hall, at the University of Alberta. Pembina Hall is found a short walk north of the Central Administration building and Students Union Building and can also be accessed via the Computing Science Building from the West.

The closest parking is available in Stadium Car Park located west of the Students Union Building.

 

Transit service is available to the University from downtown via the LRT (Light Rapid Transit) at a cost of $2.50. A number of ET buses serve the university campus from the south. Further information can be obtained from Edmonton Transit at 496-4570. or their website: http://www.gov.edmonton.ab.ca/transit/

 

From the airport, taxis are available or a shuttle bus that makes university area stops http://edmontonairports.com/gtr/skyshutt.htm

 

Pembina Hall was converted to its original purpose as a women's residence in 1919. Today, in addition to CIUS, it houses Native Studies, East Asian Studies, and Circumpolar Institute.
