We now extend the previous chapter by considering three CFD examples
which represent a step-up in complexity from examples considered so
far. The problems and their special features are:
2D flow over a backward facing step, where the complexity is due to
the downstream boundary condition
stirring of fluid by a paddle in a cylindrical container, for which
we express and solve the equations in a rotating frame of reference
2D natural convection in a square cavity, in which the viscosity and
specific heat are temperature dependent and there is coupled heat and
mass transfer
