The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the structural, judicial, and governing body for all of the University of Alberta's IFC fraternities. Two delegates represent every fraternity and regularly scheduled meetings are held monthly. These meetings are a time for all fraternities to come together on a level playing field and discuss important fraternity issues. The meetings are crucial in maintaining bonds of friendship and respect from organization to organization.
The Council establishes and coordinates educational programs, recruitment activities, implements scholarship programs, and promotes year round community service to the Edmonton and surrounding communities. The Council strives to create campus-wide camaraderie amongst all Greeks. Finally, the Council encourages all of its members to be strong, positive leaders and role models in everything they do.
The IFC also runs common recruitment for the IFC chapters. For more information on IFC, please contact any of the IFC executive or the University of Alberta Fraternity/Sorority Advisor at fs.advisor@ualberta.ca
