Orlando: Women's Writing in the British Isles from the Beginnings to the Present provides information about more than 1200 writers, their texts, and the times in which they lived and wrote. It is designed to offer new ways of approaching literary research online.

We are currently assessing the effectiveness of the design of the current system, and developing and testing experimental system designs. We need your help.

The research team is comprised of Dr. Susan Brown (Orlando Project director, University of Alberta and University of Guelph), Dr. Blair Nonnecke (Human-Computer Interaction researcher, University of Guelph), Dr. Stan Ruecker (designer and experimental interface researcher, University of Alberta), and Dr. Claire Warwick (Library and Information Studies researcher, University College, London).

You can participate in a range of ways:

• answering a questionnaire about your experience of the system
• allowing us to track your activities during your use of the system
• participating in an interview
• allowing us to observe your use of the system
• participating in the development of new interfaces

Your confidentiality will be protected and you may withdraw from the study at any time.
