Impaired driving is a crime in progress.

If you see an impaired driver in Edmonton,

call 911

(if seen in the past 10 minutes)
or
423-4567
(Dispatch line: if longer than 10 minutes)

and provide police with the following information:

  1. State you are following or have seen an impaired driver.
  2. State your location.
  3. Suspect vehicle description:
  4. Direction of travel.
  5. Description of driver.

Always try to avoid creating a situation that is more dangerous than the one you are trying to prevent. Law enforcement officers and other emergency response personnel are trained specialists. Please leave them to their job unless they request your assistance. DO NOT try to apprehend the suspect yourself.
