PARTNERS AND AFFILIATIONS

St. Stephen’s College continues to benefit from, and contribute to, a multitude of partnerships – as one focus in a vast and creative network of schools and centers all engaged in the work of theological education and transformation.

We have been affiliated with the University of Alberta from the earliest days. We teach undergraduate University courses, and participate with St. Joseph’s College in offering a BA Minor in Christian Theology. University Faculty members teach in our programs or serve on our Program Committees, offering guidance, policy advice and mentoring to students.

The Licensed Worship Leader Certificate and the Diploma in Youth and Young Adult Ministry Programs are offered in partnership with Alberta and Northwest Conference of the United Church of Canada.

We have partnerships with pastoral care departments of hospitals/care facilities, retreat houses, counselling centres, spiritual formation programs, social service agencies and other institutes and institutions across the country.

Partnership with the Institute for Theological and Leadership Development of the United Church of Jamaica and Cayman Islands

This partnership enables the Master of Arts in Pastoral Psychology and Counselling (MAPPC) degree program of St. Stephen's College to be offered in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands by the Institute for Theological and Leadership Development [ITLD]. The courses and practical experiences are taught by qualified instructors in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands with intentional inclusion of the Caribbean context. The degrees are granted to students by St. Stephen's College when all the requirements have been met.

ITLD is a part of the International University of the Caribbean. Both institutions have benefitted from this partnership and we have learned from each other. It is our hope that this partnership will continue and evolve as both institutions carry out their missions to prepare counsellors and care-givers for the world.

Collaborative Agreement between St. Stephen's College and the Centre for Christian Studies (CCS)
