bachelor of theological studies
Our Bachelor of Theological Studies program is currently under review, and new applications are not being accepted at this time.
Persons who desire theological training, but who do not have a prior degree, may qualify for admission to a supervised pattern of studies leading to the Bachelor of Theological Studies (BTS) Degree. The BTS comprises a blend of courses and other learning experiences both from within the theological disciplines and across the liberal arts and sciences.
Candidates for the BTS Degree will be attached to the Master of Theological Studies degree program of the College, and will engage the theological component of their BTS in company with the graduate students in that program, whether it be the general theological studies stream, the spirituality stream, or the worship arts stream. Students will complete the components of the degree program, at an undergraduate level and without the writing of a thesis. They will also complete the equivalent of ten semester-length undergraduate courses chosen, in consultation with their faculty advisor, from amongst the liberal arts and sciences.
Candidates may enroll in one of three streams:
| Stream One |
General entry-level studies within the theological disciplines with opportunity to specialize in a chosen field of study. |
Stream Two |
General entry-level studies within the theological disciplines, specializing in the field of Spirituality. |
Stream Three |
General entry-level studies within the theological disciplines specializing in the field of Worship Arts. |
Courses will be selected in consultation with a faculty advisor in accordance with the requirements of the stream selected.
