Biography
Rhea Plouffe, RRL, BTh, MTh, DMin, is a Certified Specialist in Spiritual Care and a Certified Specialist in Pastoral Counseling (CAPPE). As a hospital Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor she has worked in the hospital setting all her life and devoted those years in Palliative Care and grief. She has lectured widely, locally and nationally, and published in these areas. Her dissertation: "Terminal Illness and the Experience of God" has grown out of this life-long passion.
Recently she retired from the formal health care system and continues to visit the terminally ill in the community and to provide counseling. Although her love for the arts has been life-long, she is now painting and incorporation this experience in her journey.
Long before painting herself, she encouranged the artistic expression in her counseling sessiojns and in the support groups she facilitated for patients and family members at the Cross Cancer Institute, where she worked for 21 years.
