Besides social activities,
the Ag Club is also actively involved in academic acheivement,
and have several resources available to help
you. Throughout the year are various events, conferences, and
competitions designed to further your academic involvement.

Big Aggie - Little Aggie: Get involved socially and receive
academic support by being linked with returning Aggies.
Free Photocopying: With paid membership each member receives 50
photocopies in the office (204A, GSB)
Exam Bank: Need some old midterms or finals to use when
studying? Come to the office, and copy them.
Classroom Agriculture Program: Help Teach grade four students
the value of Agriculture
Agriculture Career Fair: put on by CAPS
in November, just before Bar None. Provides an opportunity to meet
potential employers for summer or long-term employment.
Professional recognition with the AIA: (AIA = Alberta Institute of Agrologists) Career
connections and networking oportunities - meet your
future employers, co-workers, and peers.
WAAC: World Association of Agriculture Councils - a conference
of agriculture students from across North America. Have a good time and learn while you are there.
Macgregor - Smith Public Speaking Competition: A chance to earn
money for your public speaking abilities. Each March the AIA hosts this
competition, with prize money for the top three speakers: 1st - 500$,
2nd - 200$, 3rd - 100$
Scholarships: Many scholarships in the Ag faculty have Ag Club
involvement as an important criterion.
