Alberta Laboratory for Laser Spectroscopy and Atmospheric Sensing
Welcome
The Alberta Laboratory for Laser Spectroscopy and Atmospheric Sensing (ALLSAS) performs research and development in the area of gas sensing technology. ALLSAS is funded by Canada Foundation for Innovation and sponsored by Boreal Laser, gas detection equipment manufacturer.

Our long term objective is to develop portable sensors capable of detecting remotely the trace amounts of atmospheric pollutants. The immediate objectives are adjusting known and developing new gas sensing technologies based on absorption laser spectroscopy.

We are mainly focused on marriage of two state-of-the-art techniques, that is quantum-cascade laser technology and mid infrared high resolution molecular spectroscopy, to develop and to apply a leading gas sensing technology.
