Welcome to the University of Alberta Atheists and Agnostics

[Atheists] Fwd: Campus Unitarian Atheism Discussion Brunches

From the Campus Unitarians, unfortunately the first service is already over.

----- Forwarded message -----

Hi everyone.

Hope the new year is treating you right!

You're invited to a series of services at the Unitarian Church of
Edmonton that explore aspects of atheism. Members of the Campus
Unitarian group were involved in advising on the subject. There are
three sessions in all, with the first one starting this Sunday. We'll
go out for brunch and a discussion after each talk. Here is the
schedule:

Sunday, January 18, 10:30 a.m.
Atheism I: Atheisms (exploring all the different kinds of atheisms)

Sunday, January 25, 10:30 a.m.
Atheism II: Humanism (Unitarians, including Charles Potter of
Edmonton, were instrumental in drafting the first Humanist manifesto;
what does humanism mean in a 21st century, post-human context?)

Sunday, February 2, 10:30 a.m.
Atheism III: Your Turn (an open mic session where we can ask
questions, talk about our definitions, etc.)

All the services take place at the Unitarian Church of Edmonton at
10804 119 Street. Each service is about an hour long.

After each service, we'll meet and go to brunch to talk about the
ideas we just heard.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Cheers,
Suzette Chan
Campus Unitarians
