The Great Pumpkin is a figure from the Peanuts comic strips. It exists merely in the imagination of Linus can Pelt, who waits eagerlyevery Halloween for the Great Pumpkin to appear. It parodies belief in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Some interpret Linus's belief as a metaphor for Christian evangelism.
