Advanced Education and Technology's 2010-11 Annual Report
The Ministry of Advanced Education and Technology (AET) has released its 2010-11 Annual Report (http://www.aet.alberta.ca/media/294108/aet-annual-report-2010-11.pdf)
The Annual Report, which forms part of the Public Accounts of the Province, includes the audited consolidated financial statements of the Ministry and a comparison of actual performance results with targets set out in the Ministry’s business plan. The report also includes the financial statements of entities making up the Ministry, and regulated funds and provincial agencies for which the Minister is responsible, as well as other financial information. Advanced Education & Technology, 2011-12 Budget
Total budgeted AET program (ie. operating + capital ) expense is $3 billion, which represents an overall reduction of $320 million (or 9.6%) from the 2010-11 forecast. The reduction is explained by big cuts in capital grants this year as major capital projects near completion.
Within the AET budget, total operating support this year will reach $2.8 billion, which is an increase of $34 million (or 1.2%) from the 2010-11 forecast, while capital spending is reduced to $251 million, including $107 million for capital maintenance and renewal. read more
