The Male Syndrome

The Male Syndrome is about what the term “male” has come to mean in society. It does not apply to every male in society, but it definitely applies to most. It has nothing to do with gender, but has everything to do with attitude. The typical male subconsciously thinks he is God. But he is not God and this is what makes this a syndrome. A syndrome is defined as a set of concurrent symptoms indicating the presence and nature of a disease. In this case, it is a mental disease that is far more serious and disabling than any other mental illness known.

What are the concurrent symptoms in this case? The first symptom is that he thinks he is God (he is suffering from delusions of grandeur). The second symptom is that he thinks he has power over all of nature, forgetting that he is an integral part of nature. The third symptom is that he thinks he is superior to females and has been given power over them; in reality, if any gender were superior it would be the female. The fourth symptom is that he thinks he owns the children he helps to produce, so that he can control them. No one was ever meant to “own” anyone. The only one who could ever claim a temporary ownership of children is the mother who gave birth to them.

This disease is never listed in any of the annals or texts of mental illnesses, nor do any psychiatrists or psychologists seem to be aware of this condition. Maybe this is partly due to the fact that these doctors have traditionally been male and anything which applies to about half the population can be considered normal.

Where and when did this catastrophe begin? It began back in the days of the Neanderthals. [See 'The Four Great Neanderthal Events' in the Biocratic Manifesto text.] They began as a hunter-gatherer society. The males would traditionally do the hunting while the females became the gatherers. This in itself would indicate a power imbalance between the genders, but when the males became the greatest big-game hunters of all time, society changed.

The males hunted in packs and often would spend weeks trapping and killing woolly mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and cave bears. The giant mammoths would be driven over cliffs with blazing torches (all animals are afraid of fire). But it was the bears and tigers that were most valued. They would carefully skin the animals and wear the skins as a ceremonial practice. The skins would be complete with claws and heads showing the ferocious teeth. One of these people would be or become the leader of the clan. He created a symbol of power (ferocity) amongst the clan. In the subconscious mind of others he was recognized as god-like (yes, Neanderthals also invented religion). Females were excluded from big game hunting. This wasn't because they couldn't do it, it was because they became preoccupied with childbearing, child-rearing and gathering (plants, fruits, nuts, berries, worms, insects, and so on).

The gender wedge had begun. The rulers of the tribes and clans came to be recognized as god-kings, demigods, and even gods. This is where it all began. The fire-makers were among the first. Fire was the greatest asset to all early tribes beginning with Pithecanthropines because it was used as torches to keep predators at bay. The only source of fire then was lightning strikes, and fire-keepers were very important. Lightning was seen as a supernatural source from the “heavens”. This is why the Neanderthal fire-makers were considered godly.

Females were traditionally excluded from being priests and god-kings because the males already had it in their heads that only males were capable of reaching that status. However, throughout history there have been many females who became a priestess or ruler of a tribe or society. This generally escapes the history books, mainly because of the Male Syndrome.

Marriage

The greatest tragedy to ever befall the evolution of the human species was when Neanderthals invented the nuclear family, or marriage. The practice of exclusive mating was previously unheard of just as it is with our closest primate relatives, the great apes. It began with possibly the weakest male of the tribe. He had no social status, not even a mating status. He may have been ugly, physically deformed, sociopathic, or intellectually challenged. But he was clever. He chose the weakest possible female of the tribe, and claimed her as his own, completely defying the natural promiscuity of the species. What is actually much worse is that he set in motion the concept of exclusive personal possession that has been the cause of at least 90% of all the crime, suffering, hostility, brutality, murder, and war that still saturates our civilization today.

This man, who thought he had as much right as any other male to be god, but could not be the god of the tribe, had to do something. He selected the weakest female (who must have been defenseless against him) and laid claim to her as his exclusive personal possession. Obviously there was no opposition from the tribe because no other male wanted her anyway. She may have been as ugly as he was. At first, he was probably laughed at or pitied. Nobody at that time could have imagined the incredible power structure he invented. It had been the practice that the strongest and healthiest of the males would mate first with the strongest and healthiest females usually ensuring their impregnation. Once they were pregnant, almost anyone could have sex with these strong females; there was no monogamy.

Previously, any weak or deformed babies that were born were left to die or were killed. But now weakness was sanctioned for whatever reason. Weak males confiscated weak females to extend the benefits of their infancy indefinitely [feeding, grooming, intimacy, protection, companionship], but since these females were not their mother, they could have sex with them anytime they wanted. A mother by nature would never mate with her son, but the mothering instinct of a female would allow her to mother a child not her own. This weakness in the system allowed the weak male (who had the mental and emotional status of an infant) to take advantage of this situation, and a new trend began in Neanderthal society.

Females came to be owned by males. Not only that, but this exclusive ownership was individual. Individually exclusive ownership was unheard of prior to this. The tribes claimed ownership primarily of territory but it was never individually exclusive. If a tribal leader were instrumental in killing a woolly mammoth, the meat would be shared (maybe not equally) among the tribe.

Toward the end of the Neanderthal period, while Cro-Magnon was already established, big-game hunting was mostly replaced by herding and breeding animals for meat supplies and beasts of burden. These were chattels, which is defined as an article of personal, movable property. The human females were the first chattels in history and have hardly escaped this category even today. After women, men confiscated and bred horses, oxen, camels, dogs and elephants as beasts of burden. Some became food sources such as fowl, cows, horses, goats, pigs, etc. This practice came to be known as animal husbandry. The term “husband” was originally defined as the frugal management of livestock, and “wives” were part of the livestock. “Husband” later came to mean the ruler of the household.

There was only one catch to this deplorable endeavor. Animals and women have a mind of their own and do not want to be owned by anyone. The Male Syndrome devised a sinister system to destroy their independence. They came up with the system of domestication. The dictionary defines the word domesticate as to tame. It also defines the word “tame” as docile, tractable, subdued, subjugated, gentle, harmless, ineffective, uninteresting, dull, obedient, spiritless, softened, and toned down. In other words, the animals or women had to have their independence and identity destroyed which often was accomplished by beating them into submission. This still happens today. Domestication involves the utter destruction of individuality and personal will and takes us closer to automatons and biological robots. Obedience is the goal and fear must be instilled in the victim. In marriage, the wife looses her identity and becomes Mrs. John Doe. Worldwide, this continues, although less universally in North America today.

While men subconsciously think they are gods, they want to possess as much of the universe as possible. But the most prized possessions are other people because of their exploitable dynamism. As women became the exploited ones, their dynamism greatly enhanced the power of the males. Women were the first slaves. The term “domestic” as a noun is synonymous with slave. A domicile is where a family lives. But the term “family” is from the Latin word famulus meaning a domestic slave. Is it any wonder that most marriages end in divorce?

Religion

There was one other system, originating with Neanderthals, which ensured that females were entrenched in slavery to this very day. That was religion. The early quasi-religions established tribal leaders as gods. They inaugurated immutable laws to enhance their godhood. The one law sanctioned most highly was marriage. And it still is within virtually all religions. Marriage is considered sacred [Godly] and a lifetime commitment. Nothing is more unnatural to our species.

The amount of pain and suffering directed upon women by organized religions is atrocious. Most religions say that sex outside of marriage is a sin. What is sin? Sin is defined as a transgression of divine authority. What is divine authority? God did not say anything about sex. God never talks to anyone. Only the priests or authorities of the church claim to speak to God, or they accept scriptures written by men who claimed to have communication with God. They always refer to God as He even though God is beyond gender.

Organized religions have traditionally excluded women from having any authority in its organization. Some of the atrocities committed upon women are abhorrent. In Africa and other areas of the world, young girls have their clitoris sliced off sometimes with jagged shards of glass. They experience excruciating pain and will never feel any pleasure from sexual intercourse for the rest of their lives. This is an attempt to enforce obedience to their future husbands. The theory is that that they would never have sex with another man because they would get no pleasure from it; they would have sex with their husbands out of duty and only when their man demanded it.

In some European countries, and elsewhere, a girl has to be a virgin before marriage. Her vaginal hymen is then cut open with a knife prior to sex. In many countries, a girl cannot choose her husband. Her family or her father selects him, and she is not allowed to refuse him. Sometimes girls as young as eight are forced into marriage. In some Muslim theocracies, women cannot show any part of their bodies in public nor can they have any status of any kind in society. They cannot work. They cannot go to school, and they cannot enjoy life in any way.

Even in America, there are Christian sects which prohibit dancing, playing cards, going to movies, etc. In Asian countries and in India, young girls are often sold into prostitution at eight or nine years of age. AIDS is rampant and these girls are often given this death sentence.

The marriage vows contain a phrase “until death do us part”. The couple is expected to remain in bondage for the rest of their lives. In societies where divorce is allowed, more than half of all marriages end up there. But what percentage of marriages that remain together are dysfunctional? Probably most, because it is an unnatural arrangement. This is not to say that a man and a woman can't have a mutual bond for life and remain happy. It does happen and would happen more often if not for the restrictions and impositions of the Male Syndrome.

Today, and for most of the last 100 thousand years, being male has come to represent ultimate power [godhood] while being female has come to represent weakness. If we check a thesaurus for synonyms for 'female' we will find words like: weaker vessel, frail, tomato, hussy, shrew, baggage, wench, weaker sex, gentle sex, unmanly, sissy, weak, soft, and so on. For 'male', we will find words like: buck, bull, tom, virility, brave, undaunted, two-fisted, courageous, etc. The antonym for 'male' is weakness.

Pornography is one of the most rapidly growing businesses in the world today. Porn is primarily the degradation and suppression of women (not to be confused with erotica which is perfectly acceptable because it depicts mutual pleasuring). Women in porn subjugate themselves to such degrees of degradation that they would normally never do, but the money is good. What is unthinkable are snuff films. This is where girls and young women are lured from third world countries with the promise of big money. They never see a penny. They are brutally tortured and sadistically killed because a lot of men will pay big money to see this. They may have their hands and feet chopped off with a machete so they will die a slow and painful death. Lots of men like to see this. Sometimes huge construction drills are used to drill holes in their stomachs or in their vagina. Often a gun is shoved inside the vagina and they are shot this way. The reason this is popular is because men often subconsciously think of their penis as a gun. After all, the penis is what identifies a person as a male. A gun has godly power because it can kill. The sperm rapidly ejaculated from the penis (when a male 'shoots' his load) is like the bullets fired from a gun.

From the day we are born, the Male Syndrome conditions us all. A baby boy is wrapped in blue while a baby girl is wrapped in pink. In the subconscious mind of anyone seeing a baby, the color blue represents power while the color pink represents weakness. The baby will be treated very differently by anyone seeing it according to its color. Society establishes an imaging system to maintain the Male Syndrome and ensure the weakness of the female and the power of the male.

'Male' and 'Female' are roles or characters we all are expected to play in the production called 'Life'. Each is an unnatural character that we are conditioned to play the role of. These characters have costumes they have to wear to play those roles. The main costume for Male is a suit, while the main costume for Female is a dress. Imaging is the producer of the ongoing play. Imaging is a process of conditioning the subconscious mind to maintain the tenacity of the male syndrome. The subconscious is the target because our entire behavior is directed by it, usually without our conscious awareness.

Imaging is a process where images are given a distinct meaning which they otherwise might not have. The image of a dress is a symbol of weakness in the subconscious mind, and the image of a suit is a symbol of power. A dress is not just a different cut of cloth from a suit. Part of the image is what the dress is made of, its color, its texture, its design, and so on. Dresses are usually made of a more delicate fabric than a suit. Its color may be very bright, or soft pastel shades. A dress may be multicolored or have pretty designs like flowers, polka dots, geometric shapes, and so on. All these things just add to the image of a dress as a symbol of weakness. Dresses usually have a zipper or buttons in the back where the woman can't easily reach them. This renders her more helpless and opportunistic for a man to dress or undress her.

A suit is usually black or some other dark color. The cut of the suit is distinct with its lapels and buttons, and in no way shape or form could ever be mistaken for a dress. It is a blatant symbol of power. Along with the suit goes a necktie. It is usually red and the subconscious mind sees it as a penis (gun) - the ultimate symbol of power. Since there is a law against nudity, which hides our animal status, the costume can take any form the Male Syndrome decides. The ultimate 'Male' costume is the uniform - police or military. The costume contains a gun - ultimate power. If a policeman is respected or feared more than a businessman, it is the costume that is feared, not the man. It is always the costume and what it represents that people see (subconsciously) and react accordingly. Nudity is illegal because it would give a relative equality among and between the genders.

The costumes have to have the maximum diversity between the sexes to engender the desired behavioral differences. 'Female' has to walk, talk and act differently from 'Male'. Her hairstyle has to be different from Male. Her shoes are drastically different and the styles are very unhealthy, especially the stiletto heels. Female wears a mask while Male does not. The mask is the makeup and jewelry. The most noticeable makeup is the red lipstick. The subconscious mind sees this as a vagina. The vagina has to be represented as much as the penis because of the enforcement of clothes. The genitals especially must be concealed at all times in public for fear that we might recognize our animal nature (and so that sex remains as controlled as possible by the church which dosen't want us to realize that our genitalia were created primarily for pleasure and secondarily for reproduction).

The rest of the makeup, especially around the eyes and the blush used on the cheeks are meant to make the face look more like a baby [weakness, helpless]. Jewelry like earrings, finger rings and necklaces are seen subconsciously as a form of bondage [chains] or ownership, like a cattle brand. Female carries a purse while Male would not be caught dead with one. This is because a purse is seen subconsciously as a womb.

Today in North America, women are still not much more than second class citizens in spite of all the gains by feminists and women's groups. Women have not yet received equal pay for equal work. Women are still excluded from a lot of employment positions, clubs, institutions, and so on. A very large percentage of women are still abused physically, emotionally, and sexually by husbands and boyfriends. This has to stop. So, what can be done?

The first thing that women have to realize is that there is nothing a man can do that they can't do except impregnate another woman. Men only have power over women because women have allowed it to happen. Women have a right to take back the power they have lost. Governments and laws have to change drastically before any real freedom is gained. Women have the right to vote public servants into office who are more understanding of the situation and they need to vote more women into office.

What changes need to be made and how do we need to change our way of thinking? We need to think that men do not really have as much power over us as they lay claim to. We need to say “no” more often. We don't have to be slaves.

One of the great tragedies of modern times is the popular possessive concept of love. Most people do not know the meaning of love. Love was introduced a few hundred years ago as an attempt to bond young couples into monogamy. We are at a stage in our evolution where we have scarcely risen above egocentricity. Love is empowerment of others, but self-empowerment rules. When a man says “I love you”, his subconscious is saying “I now take possession of you and you will be my slave”. He wants you to be a physical extension of himself. He wants to empower himself just as everyone else does.

When a woman says “I love you”, she wants to possess him as well. Mutual possession rarely ever works. It can work to some degree, if there ethics are involved. Ethics involves the empowerment of others - which we are all intended to do but we have yet to discover this principle. A woman will “love” a man who has been beating and abusing her for years because the Male Syndrome has taken her power and she feels helpless and worthless. She has little or no self-esteem so she stays in an abusive relationship. Her self-esteem may be restored if someone will convince her that she is worthy of anything a man is, and that she is a unique individual with the unlimited power of her soul at her disposal. She has as much right as anyone to that power and no one can take it from her. If she was abused as a child, that is in the past and it no longer exists unless she chooses to keep the feelings in her mind.

Education can be a great equalizer. There should be more women's groups focused on the power of women, and spreading the word through schools and any educational facility. It may take a very long time before governments free women. Society has to undergo drastic change. If women are organized, they have power in society. They can insist on equal pay for equal work. They can boycott companies. They have consumer power to refuse products and services of those who discriminate.

Women can get off the stage in the play of Life. They must shed their costumes. Why do women feel they need makeup to look beautiful? It makes them look weak. There is no greater beauty than natural beauty. Why wear dresses that represent weakness? Why wear jewelry for an arbitrary sense of beauty? Older women may be set in their ways but girls can adopt the unisex look and set a trend for the future. I think this is already beginning. The fashion industry only promotes the Male Syndrome. Organized women have the purchasing power to destroy this industry.

Women through politics should work toward decriminalizing nudity as a start, because nudity is the great equalizer. Women have the same capacity as men for rationality and reason, but they don't seem to use it as much. Religions demand blind faith in their dogmas, but rationality may show a different picture. We should question everything we are told to avoid conditioning. We are all unique individuals and we should all be free thinkers. Why should we let others do our thinking for us? Are we robots? As individual free thinkers, we can have the power that is rightfully ours. Let us get organized for this is the way we can be free.
