Grand Opening Party!
Thank you to everyone who made it out to the Grand Opening Party for our new Accessibility Project - it was a huge success! We are happy we were able to celebrate and share such a historical event in the life of our College with you!
We acknowledge with great appreciation, the funding received from the Government of Alberta's Community Spirit Program, as well as from St. Andrew's United Church Thrift Shop. Those Grant monies were part of the funding used to renovate the College Building to make it mobility accessible. Thank you!

EVER-WIDENING CIRCLES:
A HISTORY OF
ST. STEPHEN'S COLLEGE
BY GAYLE SIMONSON
For 100 years, St. Stephen’s College and its predecessors, Alberta College South and Robertson College, have offered theological education on the campus of the University of Alberta. For many years, the original college building offered accommodation to university students from all faculties. It also served as a convalescent hospital in WWI and a military training centre in WWII. Though affiliated with the United Church of Canada, St. Stephen’s relationships with other faculties and schools on the campus and in the broader community have always affirmed its non-denominational charter. Its students have come from many different faith backgrounds and have worked around the world. Today, thanks to the development of distance education and a partnership with the International University of the Caribbean, in Kingston, Jamaica, courses are available far beyond the campus boundaries.
Ever-Widening Circles tells the stories, not only of the college and the theological students and faculty who have worked there, but also of the high school, university and nursing students who, for many years, called the college residence home.
“Ever-Widening Circles is compelling and filled with fascinating information and details about St. Stephen's…some amazing research work… a wonderfully readable book that will be of interest to many in the general public.”
Debbie Marshall, writer and editor, author – Give Your Other Vote to the Sister
“A terrific job in researching the vast amount of material and presenting it in a readable way.”
Rev. Dr. Vern Wishart, author – What Lies Behind the Picture?
