Mitchell Grams is currently completing his third year of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. He became involved with the Canadian Center for Welding and Joining during the summer of 2013 through a government funded research award. His summer research is currently focused on welding torch instrumentation and sensing. Mitchell has lived in the Edmonton area his whole life but likes to travel to Vancouver Island and Hawaii to spend time near the ocean.
Mitchell enjoys curling, golfing, skiing, swimming, kayaking, surfing, beach volleyball and any sport that involves water or sunshine. When he’s not in the lab, Mitchell can often be found spending time with friends and family and/or mastering the art of foosball.
