Short Courses

Teaching intensive short courses to industry and academia is an important part of what I do; I have taught about 140. Please check my main home page where I try to list upcoming public courses.

The Citation Program in Applied Geostatistics (CPAG) is an intensive training program that involves four weeks of instruction, exercises and a project. This program has been taught for more than ten years around the world. Nearly 300 people have been trained. Edmonton (1999-1; 2000-2; 2001-3; 2002-2; 2003-4; 2004-8; 2005-6; 2006-19; 2007-13; 2008-11; 2009-9, 2010-16, 2011-9), Chile (2002-10; 2003-12; 2004-8; 2005-10; 2006-10; 2007-19; 2008-13; 2009-7; 2010-17, 2011-11, 2012-20), Denver (2007-11; 2010-6), Brazil (2006-8; 2008-12) and South Africa (2011-16).

My standard Fundamentals of Geostatistics four day short course covers the essential principles of geostatistics for a variety of applications. Lectures all morning, some exercises in the early afternoon, then close the day with lectures. This is offered in-house and for the public. A number of other courses including advanced customized classes are also taught from time-to-time; mostly in-house. Two-day classes on focused subjects are also taught.
