Faculty of Education Handbell RingersFounded in 1988, the Faculty of Education Handbell Ringers have for years been an integral part of the UAMC experience. A separate sub-group only available to current members of the chorus, the Handbell ringers provide both accompaniment and their own incredible, inimitable form of musical entertainment. These plucky, talented, attractive members of chorus play a set of 61 finely tuned English Handbells manufactured by Schulmerich Carillons of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, "Bell Capital of the World". In this, their thirteenth year, the Faculty of Education Handbell Ringers will perform a Christmas Special with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in the Francis Winspear Centre for Music. Each year the Faculty of Education Handbell ringers perform concerts with both the University of Alberta Mixed Chorus and the Greenwood Singers. |
