Canadian Slavonic Papers (CSP), founded in 1956, is a quarterly, interdisciplinary journal of the Canadian Association of Slavists, publishing in English and French.

CSP is devoted to problems of Central and Eastern Europe. It is a forum for scholars from a range of disciplines: language and linguistics, literature, history, political science, sociology, economics, anthropology, geography, philosophy, and the arts. This is the only interdisciplinary scholarly outlet for Slavists in Canada and one of the major journals in the field in North America. It has an international readership and subscribers.

All articles submitted to CSP are subject to blind refereeing. Only previously unpublished manuscripts that are not under consideration by another journal are considered.

The journal is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, grants from the University of Alberta, and the membership of the Canadian Association of Slavists.

The journal maintains an online archive dating from 1956 and articles appearing in Canadian Slavonic Papers are abstracted or listed in American Bibliography of Slavic and East European Studies, America: History and Life, Historical Abstracts, International Bibliography of the Social Sciences, Linguistics Abstracts, Linguistic Bibliography/Bibliographie Linguistique, MLA International Bibliography, Canadian Index/CBCA, Public Affairs Information Bulletin, and Sociological Abstracts.

Beginning in January 2015,  Canadian Slavonic Papers/Revue canadienne des slavistes will be published by Taylor & Francis, a division of Routledge.

CSP has been at the University of Alberta since July 1991.
