Nathan Pinkoski - npinkosk [at] ualberta [dot] ca
Hand upon the helm of the ship of Debate, Nathan is sailing into his fourth year, with his dual compass pointing toward the finish of a degree in Political Science and Philosophy. He first started debating when he entered the sea of University, since like any good sailor he was ultimately interested in sailing, and figured the best way to do so was to be a boatswain of sorts, as long as he wasn’t blinded by the storms on deck and at sea. Beyond making obscure allusions, Nathan enjoys quoting Shakespeare at length, enjoys those who allow him to quote Shakespeare at length, and eulogizing his favourite literary heroine Anne Shirley while pursuing the noble and underrated art of tree-climbing. If you have any questions about the club, Nathan has the honour to be your obedient, humble servant.
Vice-President
Emily Cliff- ecliff[at] ualberta [dot] ca
Emily is entering her fourth and final year of a combined honours program in math and linguistics, which means that she is not stressed at all. Some of her proudest accomplishments include being declared both Irrepressible Geek of the Day and Irrepressible Greek of the Day by the Caleb Cheek Foundation for Being a Totally Legit Charitable Organization (although sadly not on the same day); she is also a Certified Carousel Operator! Do attack the Director of Judges and Volunteers for Nats 2010 for any information.
Treasurer
Ashvin Singh - ashvin [at] live [dot] ca
Ashvin is in his third year of his Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce program, where he is learning to count money professionally while practicing with the club funds of the UADS. His advocacy of debate, which began in his high school years, is paralleled only by his advocacy of liberal elitism. This is his third year on the executive of the UADS and his second year as VP Finance. If you want to investigate the club’s financial records, sneer at impractical degree programs or sing top 40 music a cappella, say hello!
VP Internal
Mary Mcphail - mmcphail [at] ualberta [dot] ca
Mary is officially in her 2nd year of materials nanotech engineering but intends to transfer to Business as the two are as connected as her love of Star Wars and plush animals. When not napping around campus she enjoys long walks on the beach and reading by candlelight. Find the 5’7” girl, hair colour variable, and very huggable if you are lost. She started debating in high school (and still refuses to follow the news). Her goals for the year: starting a spandex/cape dress code and learning the words to Scandinavian techno..
VP External
Kristen Pue - uads.external [at] gmail [dot] com
Kristen, having been fired from her job as the Black Spy in Spy vs. Spy, is entering her second year of Political Science. She has been violating the equity policy since she found out about it a year ago and has been debating since high school. As Team Mommy (VP External), Kristen is hoping to utilize her childbearing hips and keen nagging skills. When not arguing about policies, philosophies and practicalities, Kristen spends her time lifeguarding, wishing she was in a barbershop quartet and drinking endless cups of tea.

Rachelle Neame- neame [at] ualberta [dot] ca
Rachelle Neame, M.A.L., is SHOCKED to be in her third year of electrical engineering, comprising about 27.9% of the female population in her program. As such, she is a classy gal who only counts 9 embarrassing photos of herself on Facebook, spells theatre with an 'RE' and can make it to four marshmallows in 'Chubby Bunny'. Mention to her how much you want Chuck and Blair to be together forever on Gossip Girl and you will find an instant friend.

Sarah-Jane Laxdal - sjlaxdal [at] gmail [dot] com
The ever elusive Sarah-Jane Laxdal is a creature of habit, entering her first year of Engineering. This species is typically found outdoors, weather permitting, and has been known to hoard large quantities of food in a small pouch, though it is uncertain exactly what resulted in this odd behaviour. Though difficult to determine at first glance, her goal appears to be survival (as with most species) hoping to escape from her university existence with any degree she may sniff out. Interesting to note, the Sarah-Jane appears to have an energy unbounded in the positive direction. As a result, we issue this warning: Prolonged exposure may result in increased caffeine consumption.
