Margaret’s background includes post-secondary experience in teaching, training, instructional design, project management and program planning. Margaret’s interest in distance education developed while living and working in Northern Alberta. Margaret was not able to attend on campus classes and so took her first steps into the world of online learning. Six courses later, combining adult education with instructional technology courses, she was so fascinated by the experience and intrigued by what was happening with instructional technology that Margaret decided to make educational technology and distance education the focus of her career. Margaret is busy with her family and numerous pets and enjoys spending time at the cottage, camping, skiing and hiking with her family.
