Current Research Interests

My research is focused on the invasion biology and ecology of forest insects, primarily bark beetles and defoliators. I am interested in understanding of tree-mediated interaction between different species of organisms, including insect herbivores and diseases, and also in identifying tree chemicals affecting the fitness of interacting organisms. My research interests therefore include forest entomology, ecology, invasion biology, plant-insect-pathogen interactions, and chemical ecology.
