A] Documents for Extending Leave of Absence

If you are on a leave from your work in Egypt and have a file at the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in Montreal, you need to renew this leave every year. May month is a good time to do that for people who started in the fall term and September month for people who started in the winter term.   You need to send the following documents:

  1. A letter from your supervisor (example file)
  2. A letter from the registration office saying that you are currently registered as a student at the U of A.
  3. A request form (written in Arabic) asking for renewal for another one year).
  4. You put these three documents in an envelope and send them to the following address:

Bureau of Egyptian Cultural and Educational Affairs 1,
Place Ville-Marie, Suite 1936 Montreal,
Quebec H3B 2C3

They will then send you the leave extension approval (takes about 3 months).
