PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS INDEX

Non-governmental organizations and agencies other than those explicitly listed in our index sometimes exercise great power in society. Organizations with political aims fall into this category, but so do many others which have considerable influence. As they are not immune from discriminatory actions, the need for a channel to challenge these institutions exists as well. The general discussions (labels beginning with A) and individual accounts (labels beginning with B) below are meant to reveal problems of gender bias by these bodies, in hopes of spurring needed reforms.
