It is especially reprehensible when scientists and scholars, who are trained to exercise a high level of intellectual integrity, distort the facts through biased research. Doing so for ideological reasons is, however, distressingly common in the current milieu. The general discussions (labels beginning with A) and individual accounts (labels beginning with B) below are meant to reveal problems of gender bias in this arena, in hopes of spurring needed reforms.
