2008-2009 Auditions
Auditions for the 2008-2009 ensemble will be held on September 3 & 4 in room 2-26 of the Fine Arts Building at the UofA. AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO EVERYBODY. Sign up sheets will be posted in the Fine Arts Building during the last week of August. For details on the audition requirements

"Spring" Update - March 2008
Happnin' has had a busy and full year so far. It all started with our annual retreat to Goldeye Lake in October where we had lots of fun working on our music and getting to kow each other. We joined forces with our counterparts at MacEwan to put on a winter Concert in early December at Con Hall.
In January, we joined choirs from the TIME association for a weekend workshop at Camp Nakamun with Vocal Ensemble Sixth Wave. We will be
performing in the ACF Choralfest Jazz festival on March 19 and we will be once again joining forces with the MacEwan Wednesday Night Big Band
for a joint concert at Muttart Hall in Alberta College on March 8. Our year will conclude with our Spring Concert on April 7 at the UofA's Convocation Hall. Please keep an eye on our

Fall Concert
Happnin's Fall/Christmas concert will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 8PM in
Convocation Hall on the UofA Campus. Tickets will be available from the Department of Music Office, Choir Members or at the door. Please see our

AUGUST 2007 UPDATE: Time for another great year!
September is almost here which means that it is time for another season of fun and great music with Happnin'! The 2007-2008 season is sure to be another great one for the choir and many activities and events are already in the works. These include a number of concerts both on and off campus, a retreat in October to Goldeye Centre in Nordegg, a trip to Calgary in March for Choralfest Jazz and a variety of possible spring tour locations.

Trek to Banff to wrap up another season!
Happnin' ended the 2006/07 season with a trip to Banff to participate in the Canadian Rocky Mountain Festival at the end of April. While there the group performed for a full house at the Banff Center's Eric Harvey Theatre, participated in a workshop with Duane Davis from Michigan, and attended a performance by the vocal jazz group Sixth Wave.

Choralfest
Happnin' has been invited to participate in in this years version of "Choralfest South Jazz" in Calgary on March 16. In addition to participating in the adjudication portion of the festival, Happnin' will also be one of three groups featured in the evening spotlight concert.
