SUGGESTED TOPICS or THEMES

The following suggest themes or contentious issues that arise out of atheistic discussions. You may redirect the question so as to focus on a more specific problematic issue for critical discussion in your essay.

1. Is faith, religious faith, an irrational belief?

2. Is the very idea of God, as a transcendent supernatural being, unintelligible or incoherent?

3. Is there no evidence or rational basis for theism, for belief in God?

4. Is there evidence or rational basis for atheism, for disbelief in God?

5. Is adherence to religion inevitably harmful or inherently evil?

6. Is educating in faith morally wrong?
