Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

1 C white sugar

¾ C brown sugar

1 C butter

2 eggs

2 C flour

1 T baking soda

1 T baking powder

¼-½ t salt

2 ½ C quick oats

1 ½ - 2 chopped-up chocolate

bars

1 pkg sucre vanille

          Cream together sugars, and butter, then add eggs. Mix together the rest of the ingredients. Roll into balls, place on cookie sheet, and cook on °5 until barely golden brown.

Brownie Cookies

1 ½ C sugar

2 eggs

75-100 g butter or

margarine

3 big spoons cocoa

1 pkg levure chemique

1 pkg vanilla

pinch of salt

2-3 C flour

1 chopped chocolate bar

Mix sugar and eggs. Over low heat melt butter and then add cocoa. Combine the 2 mixtures. Add levure chemique, vanilla, and salt. Then add flour until you have "one dough" mass (so it doesn’t stick to the bowl). Stick in your chocolate bar and mix it together. Make balls on a cookie sheet and cook them on °5 until you barely see cracks. Then remove and cool.

Sugar Cookies

3 C flour

1 C sugar

1 t baking soda

1 t baking powder

1 t salt

1 C butter

2 eggs

4 T milk

2 t vanilla

Preheat oven to °6. Mix first 5 ingredients together. Cut in butter nice ‘n’ good. Blend in eggs, milk, and vanilla. Chill dough to make firm. Roll out on lightly floured surface. Cut shapes. Bake until they are barely starting to brown. Frost!

Bake me Nots

½ C butter

2 C sugar

½ C milk

¼ C cocoa

4 C oats

1 pkg vanilla sugar

½ C peanut butter (optional)

Bring the butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa to a boil, simmer 2 minutes then add oats, vanilla and peanut butter. Spoon out onto foil or waxed paper and let cool.

Snicker Doodles

1 C shortening, butter or margarine

1 ½ C sugar

2 eggs

2 ¾ C flour

2 T cream of tartar

1 T baking soda

¼ T salt

½ C sugar

1 T cinnamon

          Mix all ingredients together. Roll dough into small balls about the size of walnuts. Roll the balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake at °5 for 8-10 min.
