Time : 4 consecutive afternoon sessions or one session per week for 4 weeks
Content Covered:
* Basic theory of SEM and applications
*Introduction to the use of SEM (Hitachi S-2500)
*Specimen preparation
*3-D image & low voltage image
*Hands on practice:
astigmatism correction, change Kv and working distance, photography, etc.
*2 hours SEM operation for individual practice after course (by appointment)

Fee: $150:00 (material and lab manual included)
Time : By arrangement, either one session per week or two sessions per week
Content covered:
*Lectures will cover basic electron optics, fixation, embedding, ultrathin
sectioning and staining, immuno-cytochemistry EM and darkroom techniques
*TEM observation including filament saturation, objective aperture selection,
astigmatism correction, specimen exchange and photography etc..
*Individual hands-on practice in your own suitable time for glassknife making ,
microtom techniques and EM observation (by appointment)
*Certificate will be issued after the completion of assignments.
