Conference Update Dated June 15, 2020:
The Organizing Committee of APARM 2020 has decided to make APARM 2020 a fully virtual event, to be held during the same dates of August 20-23, 2020. This decision is made in consideration of the many factors including (1) government restrictions on travels, Visa applications, and quarantine requirements, (2) the practices adopted by many other professional conferences under the COVID-19 situation, (3) restrictions on travels by authors’ organizations, (4) preferences on the timing of the conference provided by some researchers, (5) the uncertainty on whether in-person conferences of our APARM scale will be allowed later this year or even early next year, and (6) the need for timely dissemination of research results.
A flat reduced registration fee of CDN $550 (approximately US $400) is set to cover various costs. The deadlines for upload of camera-ready papers and copyright forms and for author registration have been postponed to July 15, 2020. Please upload the required documents at EDAS (https://aparm2020.edas.info/) and complete your registration by clicking the registration tab of this website.

Innovative tools for reliability analysis and decision making in design, operation and maintenance of engineering systems in today’s connected era, are critical for safe, reliable and effective operation of these systems. The 9th Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Advanced Reliability and Maintenance Modelling (APARM 2020) to be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver, Canada (August 20 to 23, 2020) aims to provide a friendly platform for synergistic exchanges of ideas and practices among academics and industry practitioners. The conference will cover a broad range of research and application topics relevant to reliability and maintenance. Special attention will be paid to provide a sociable professional environment for participants to develop new contacts, forge new research collaboration, and strengthen existing relationships. APARM 2020 is a continuation of the series of successful workshops - AIWARM 2004 (Hiroshima, Japan), AIWARM 2006 (Busan, Korea), AIWARM 2008 (Taichung, Taiwan), APARM 2010 (Wellington, New Zealand), APARM 2012 (Nanjing, China), APARM 2014 (Sapporo, Japan), APARM 2016 (Seoul, Korea) and APARM 2018 (Qingdao, China).
