Welcome to the Child and
Adolescent Sport and Activity Lab (CASA). The CASA lab is part of
the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation at the University
of Alberta. Dr. Nicholas Holt is the lab director. Lab members are
MA students Kacey Neely and Homan Lee, and PhD candidate Camilla Knight. We conduct studies in Alberta, Ontario, and the UK.
Aim
The overall goal of CASA is to conduct applied research with the intention of improving the physical and mental well-being of children, adolescents, and their families. Specifically, we examine child, adolescent, and family involvement in sport and physical activity.
