"I just wanted to write a short note and let you know that the workshop was great. Best professional learning I have participated in for a very long time. It was nice to revisit the philosophical thought processes that I explored in my first years of university. I have already talked to a principal who has demonstrated interest in pursuing this program within her school."~Teacher/Participant |
Our next workshop is Saturday, October 29, from 9am-1pm in the
University of Alberta's Telus Center, room 236/238.

At least twice a year we offer a workshop introducing the program to anyone who is interested. These workshops provide those who attend with an opportunity to:
- Learn about the Philosophy for Children Program from experienced instructors
- Meet the staff and volunteers at P4C Alberta who can help you introduce philosophy in your classroom
- Gain hands-on experience through sample exercises and a program walk-through
- Network with others interested in philosophy in the classroom
These workshops really are "hands on". As a participant you will spend almost the entire four hours working with the materials just as you would if you were either a student or an educator in a Philosophy for Children class.
| "...the workshop was amazing. The manner in which we examined the texts elicited a depth of responses I would not have thought possible. The P4C programme creates a new paradigm regarding the exploration, examination, and communication of ideas." ~Principal/Participant |
