PHILOSOPHY 242: ARISTOTLE AND HELLENISTIC PHILOSOPHY

B1 Second Term MWF 10:00-10:50 M. Tweedale
The first two thirds of the course is given over to a comprehensive survey of Aristotle's philosophy. In the final third the various schools of Hellenistic philosophy, i.e. the Epicureans, Stoics, Sceptics and neo-Platonists are each treated briefly. Issues in all the central areas of philosophy arise in the readings.
