This course introduces you to key debates in contemporary political philosophy. We'll discuss theories like utilitarianism, liberalism, libertarianism, and communitarianism, tying these to issues such as global justice, indigenous rights, and multiculturalism. The course will push you to develop your critical reading and writing skills through regular quizzes and short assignments, and includes a lot of classroom discussion.
