MEDLAB-L Commands

Here are some LISTSERV commands relevant to MEDLAB-L. If anything needs clarifying, please let me know.

KEY LISTSERV COMMANDS

Each line must start with a command word (subscribe, set, etc.)
Do not use your signature when you send commands.
Send all commands to LISTSERV@listserv.buffalo.edu

1. SUBSCRIBING

subscribe MEDLAB-L Your Real Name

(e.g., subscribe MEDLAB-L Pat Letendre)

2. UNSUBSCRIBING

signoff MEDLAB-L

3. DIGESTS

set MEDLAB-L digests

When your subscription is set to digests, you will receive one daily posting from the group (which will contain all the messages for that day).

4. NOMAIL

To stop mail temporarily (e.g., while on holidays)

set MEDLAB-L nomail

To start mail again

set MEDLAB-L mail (or set MEDLAB-L digests)

5. WEB ARCHIVES

List archives are available (for subscribers only) on the WWW. You will need to set up a password and be confirmed as a subscriber, but it is easy to do. See this example for CLSEDUC. MEDLAB-L works the same way, except the archive address is different.

6. SEARCHING ARCHIVES BY E-MAIL

You can also search MEDLAB-L archives by e-mail. See database searching
