Vascular / Interventional fellowship


The Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Alberta is pleased to announce a one-year fellowship position in Vascular/Interventional Radiology, starting 01 August 2003.

The successful applicant is expected to learn a wide variety of vascular and interventional procedures and associated theory as well as present and produce papers for publication.

The Capital Health Authority serves northern Alberta and British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. Two tertiary referral centers and a community hospital perform the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic vascular, biliary, genitourinary, gastrointestinal and neuroradiological Interventions, with ten interventional radiologists and six angiographic suites, including a new state of the art Siemens biplane unit.

The two tertiary referral centers and the Stollery Children's Hospital, include ten intensive care units, two major trauma and emergency units and heart, lung, kidney, liver and pancreatic transplantation programs for adult and pediatric patients.
