Consulting: I consult with several medical researchers. I founded the Pediatric Statistical Consulting unit that has now becom the Biostatistics Consulting Group. I am particularly interested in the projects that deal with my biostatistical research interests. Data arising from studies where subjects have one or more diagnostic tests and the diagnostic tests may not give correct diagnoses. Examples: testing for chicken pox virus Data arising from studies where subjects are followed over time and a single binary outcome is of primary interest. Examples: time to death of cancer patients, time to remission of leukemia patients Data arising from studies where the subjects are followed over time and the subjects can be in only one of two states at any observation time. The subjects can change between states and are observed only at discrete times. The identification of the state occupancy may not necessarily be perfect. Example: imperfect parasitic detection tests applied to children repeatedly over time Data arising over a geographic region where excess disease cases may be detected in specific areas. Example: detection of cancer clusters near a source of suspected pollution Please browse through the Biostatistical Consulting Group webpage to find out more about the consulting unit. |
