The Canadian Pediatric Anesthesia Society (CPAS) is the organization that represents pediatric anesthesiologists in Canada.
CPAS interacts with the broader Canadian Anesthesia community through its role as the Pediatric Section of the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society. Incorporated in 2004, CPAS had its roots in a series of anesthesia meetings initially held in Atlantic Canada.
There will be a Joint Meeting of the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (APAGBI) and the Canadian Paediatric Anaesthesia Society (CPAS) from Thursday 13th – Friday 14th May 2010 (Preliminary Programme). Further details may be found at APA 2010 Glasgow.
Every second year, CPAS hosts a free-standing pediatric anesthesia meeting. The 2010 Meeting will beoint Meeting between CPAS and CAPS (Canadian Association of Pediatric Surgeons) that will be held in Saskatoon from September 24-26, 2010. The Meeting Brochure and registration information will be posted when it becomes available.
On the alternate years, CPAS hosts a one-day meeting in Toronto on the Friday prior to the Hospital for Sick Children's Pediatric Anesthetic Conference. The 2009 HSC Pediatric Anesthetic Conference will be held from November 6th to 8th at the Hilton Toronto. The meeting brochure and registration information may be found at 2009 CPAS Meeting.
CPAS organizes the pediatric anesthesia content for the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society's Annual Meeting. The 2010 Meeting will be held in Montréal, Québec from June 25 - 29 at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and the Palais des congrès de Montréal .
