About Me
I am a professor in the Department of Elementary Education at the University of Alberta where I have held a position since 1995. My area of specialization is social studies education. Most of the research that I have been doing since coming to the U of A has been in the area of preparing teacher candidates to use computer technologies in ways that support and enhance children’s 
learning in social studies. I am also interested in how practicing teachers make use of technology mediated professional learning opportunities. I am currently working on a project in this area funded by Alberta Education.
