Research Interests:

Continuous-time Identification

The importance of continuous-time approach in identification in the recent scene dominated by discrete-time approach has been recognized increasingly. The ease of understanding and physical interpretation of continuous time models has greater appeal than its discrete-time counterpart. This has led to an increasing interest in the field of continuous-time identification. Development of continuous-time identification methods for single input single output and multiple input multiple output continuous-time models is the objective of this project.

Continuous-time Model Validation

Model validation through the detection of model parameter changes is an effective way of monitoring a process. The asymptotic local approach is popularly used for model validation. The objective of this project is to develop method for model validation through detection and isolation of changes in the parameters and the delay of continuous-time models.
