Austin Bergquist, B.Sc.(Kin)

“The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives” –William James

Austin Bergquist has recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and has become the new FES assistant here at The Steadward Centre (TSC).  One of his greatest interests involves researching ways to improve the health and quality of life of individuals with physical disability.  Along with Kate and Sherylin, he recently had the opportunity to travel overseas to London England to meet with Dr. Brian Andrews, a developer of FES rowing, to discuss the future of FES rowing here at TSC.  With this experience, combined with his background in Kinesiology and his motivation to help others, Austin is sure to become a valuable member of TSC team.  With Austin’s help, we expect many developments to the FES rowing program in the near future!
