Kathleen has been playing the harp at a professional level for over 12 years, performing at weddings, receptions, and business functions, as well as parties and galas.

She enjoys a wide ranging repertoire, with a focus on classical works and traditional Celtic music.

Since receiving her Bachelor of Music degree from McGill University in 2001, Kathleen has extensive performance experience throughout southwestern Ontario which includes:

*  Principal harpist with the London Community Orchestra and First St Andrew's Strings

*  Featured harpist in performances with Encore Concert Band, London Concert Band, UWO Symphonic Band, and Laudamus Bell Choir

*  Harpist in Brantford production of Beauty and the Beast (April 2009)

*  Harpist in London, Ontario production of Amahl and the Night Visitors (December 2008)

* Frequent performer of chamber works thoughout southwestern Ontario, including collaborations with flute, violin, cello, organ, and accordion

*  Performer of new solo and chamber works for harp by composers Steven Hardy and Jean Anderson-Wuensch

*  Member of chamber trio Silver & Strings, with flutist Amy O'Neill and violinist Mary Ashton

*  Vocal and choral accompanist

*  Popular solo performer of sacred music at churches throughout southwestern Ontario

Kathleen also has an active private studio, teaching lever and pedal harp to a variety of learners, ranging from young children to older adults. Whether a student is interested in preparing for university level studies in harp performance, or simply learning to play for pleasure, Kathleen is a supportive force in each student's musical development. She draws on her personal experiences in performing, combined with her academic studies of music, and over a decade of teaching experience, to tailor lessons to the needs of each individual student.
