Courses & programs

 

School offers Japanese language arts courses based on textbooks and grade system used in Japan. All instructions are in Japanese and students need to understand the instruction to enroll in the school. Students are expected to do teacher-assigned homework and use Japanese at home for practice.

Self-run Playschool program is available.  See Playschool president at school for more information.

 

Self-run Adult class program (for non-Japanese speaking parents only) is available.  See Adult class program coordinator at school for more information.

 

Inside shoes must be worn in the school.

 

Transportation will not be arranged by the school.

The classes are on Friday evenings, unless otherwise stated.

 

Junior Kinder:

 

A: 5:45pm – 7:05pm Class room

 

B: 7:25pm – 8:45pm Class room

 

Kinder – Grade3:

 

5:45pm – 7:20pm Class room

 

7:20pm – 7:35pm Recess

 

7:35pm – 8:45pm Class room

 

Grade4 – Grade9:

 

5:45pm – 7:00pm Class room

 

7:00pm – 7:20pm Recess

 

7:20pm – 8:45pm Class room

 

Parents can socialize in the staff room and have a great conversation with other parents in Japanese!

Casino (Every 2 years)

 

Thank you for your volunteer works at Casio Edmonton in October 2008.  Next Casino is scheduled in 2010.

Friday evening 6:00pm – 8:15pm

 

You can sign out up to 3 VIDEO and 3 Books for 2 weeks.

 

Fees

 

Membership Fee $10/year/family

 

Junior Kinder $19/month

 

Kinder – Grade9 $38/month

 

All above fees include Library fee.

 

Library only member $30/year

 

The fees must be paid with post-dated cheques by the first day of class.

 

Refunds will not be considered after the first class of the month.
